Garage sale season has officially began! [in Michigan anyway, some of you are very lucky and have it all year long!]

I found these three wild-men at a sale today. Still packaged. but don't worry, they were just inside a crappy old clear bag with staple on top. I saved the little paper label because it actually says "wildmen". Hehee.
I also found a bunch of flocked gorilla ornaments, some silly little recipe booklets; one being all about michigan beans, the other a promotional cookie book for Post cereal. & I found a pretty little tea cup and platter for my momma. Gotta be prepared for mother's day!

I must add that I am also now officially on Summer break from school and have about a year left to finish my degree in graphic communications. I am being very official in this post. but I am also trying to get a second job because not having money is getting lame-o. Wish me luck! Cheers!

So my amazing friend Autumn Luciano does pin-up photography and recently, I did a mini-shoot! I thought I'd share! It was really a fun experience, very uplifting and gave my confidence a fresh boost. [who can't use one o' those once in awhile, eh?]



I wanted to use a Dream pet my dad found for me recently who is named Davy Jones [for real!] He's a nautical ol' sea dog who holds an anchor out of his mouth! The top picture is my favorite though. Whistlin' away. Someday maybe I'll be brave enough to do a full shoot.

Happy Holidays to All!

I hope everyone in blogland is doing well. I've been so busy lately with school. I'm so happy to have a few weeks off to loaf around!
This picture was taken at my pal PhoneyFresh's pad. We had a small x-mas jamboree the other day with lots of snacks and presents. I couldn't resist setting this scene up! It was a must!

I made about five of these wreaths for gifts, they're so much fun to make!

Yesterday, I did a flea market at the Elsie, Mi Harvest Festival with my parents. Elsie is a teeny tiny country town with a giant cow statue. It's in the book "Weird Michigan".

I saw this poster on an estate sale listing and rushed over right away to check it out! The dude gave it to me for half price too! Score!
I know the original poster was from "The Monster Times" 1972.



I'm not sure if the one I have is original because my poster is fully orange, where the original has a white border. Anyway, it's still a sweet Mash up poster!

The inside wasn't much different from any other gift shop, & we accidentally went in while they were closing. There was a creepy statue but that's about it.

North Ho-

Well blogpals, I am back from my second grand Michigan journey of this summer. and slightly rested. Day 1, I visited a classic favorite; The Mighty Mac [Mackinaw Bridge]. and went over it to the Upper Peninsula of course!



My favorite place so far is to visit St. Ignace, which is just past the bridge. You can drive all along the lake & it's just beautiful! There are a ton of fun little gift shops & kitschy motels, but many, sadly, have been shut down.

Castle Rock is always on the top of my list. It is a sea stack or "sea chimney" made of limestone which was also said to be used as a lookout point; "Ojibway's Lookout". I've been visiting ever since I was little. I didn't climb it this time! Or else I'd have loads of pictures to share! This is also one of the many sites of a giant Paul Bunyan & Babe. Too bad it's all fenced in now!

Castle Rock also has a sweet gift shop full of Paul Bunyan gear. I am always tempted to buy storybooks. Here's a page I snapped real quick-like:
