Easter In a Cop Car

My parents have a cabin two blocks from Higgins Lake in Michigan. They just purchased it about a month ago so we all went there for Easter!

Here's a picture of Higgin's Lake. As you can see, there are a few snow banks left!

I can't wait until I can stay up there for longer than a day or two, it will be amazing! It's about a half hour from the Mackinaw Bridge!
Also, in the middle of the lake lies Treasure Island, for real, it's called that. People live on it and I really want to go there and explore.

What sand looks like after snow has melted in it

This is an old window in the cabin

Here's another cabin nearby, I like the squareness of it and I'm also really into anchors and nauticalness right now. Haha.

& here's a new friend of mine!

HAPPY EASTER!

Oh yeah, did I mention that my car overheated and we broke down on the side of 127 with no phone while it was freezing outside? Woops.
Haha, we were rescued by the friendliest sweetest cops I've ever met in my life. I offered them a bag of Robin's Eggs, haha. We rode in a cop car on Easter, I'll never forget this adventure. Even Gizmo our Chihuahua knew we were being saved, he only growled once. I think he knew they were angel cops. Hahaaa.

You could have titled this post "Easter In a Cop Car" and then after we read it we'd be like "Aw, how nice" I'm glad you got rescued and had a great time at the lake. Cute elephant too. :-)

That elephant rules! My band broke down on 96 outside of Detroit on the way to play a show the other day. No friendly cops to be found.
